Who We Are
Marcato was founded on March 1, 1950 by Antonio Marcato in Cedral, São Paulo — an Italian surname that said it all: attention to detail as a form of respect for the person who will live with the furniture. Seven decades later, the company operates its own factory in the same city, employs Italian CNC machinery, and uses exclusively European hardware on every project. Salice concealed hinges. Blum Tandem Plus undermount slides. FSC-certified panels from Duratex and Arauco. IVE UV-cured lacquer by Lechler. Three showrooms in Brazil. And now, serving Miami and South Florida.

Salice concealed hinges (Italy) and Blum Tandem Plus full-extension undermount slides (Austria). For sliding doors: Italian Cinetto anti-derailment system. Hardware is where most millwork fails first. Marcato uses the standard that European luxury firms specify.
Closet and bedroom carcasses in 25mm + 15mm backs — double the market standard. Kitchen carcasses in 18mm + 15mm backs. FSC-certified Duratex and Arauco panels. MDF where MDF performs better. MDP where MDP is structurally correct.
American oak, walnut, ebony — real wood veneers with depth no thermofoil replicates. Finished with IVE UV-cured lacquer (Lechler). Solid wood for doors, drawers, and bespoke handles where detail demands it.
Visible in how panels meet, how doors align, how the baseboard touches the ceiling without improvisation. Marcato manufactures and installs to a maximum 1mm tolerance at any point. The industry standard in the US is 5–10mm.
